Northark Technical Center

What We Are...
The Northark Technical Center (NTC) is an area secondary center based on Northark's North Campus. The Center was formed in 2000 through a collaborative effort by Northark, area school districts, and the Department of Workforce Education. NTC provides area high school juniors and seniors with the unique opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. The student's curriculum provides students with hands-on training in several technical fields.
Who We Serve...
The Center serves area high schools in a seven county area of North Central Arkansas.
- Baxter
- Boone
- Carroll
- Marion
- Madison
- Newton
- Searcy
Services are provided at NO COST to the students. Books, tuition and fees are all provided through NTC and funded by a training fee paid by local school districts and by funds provided through the state Department of Workforce Education.
What We Do...
We aid students in making an informed career choice.
Students select a technical program based on their interests and aptitudes. Their experiences in the program they choose help them to make future career choices.
We prepare students to enter the workforce upon high school graduation.
The programs provided by NTC lead to a professional certification, a certificate of proficiency, or a technical certificate from Northark.
We encourage students to continue their education after high school.
NTC classes are credited for the student at both the high school and college level. Students can finish their NTC programs with as many as 30 college hours toward a higher degree or certification, and they are more capable of handing college coursework.
NTC currently offers 11 courses of study:
- Automotive Technology
- Collision Repair Technology
- Computer Aided Drafting
- Construction Technology
- Electronics Technology - Networking/Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
- Graphic/Web Design
- Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning
