Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Exams are based on real-world techniques you will need to know in order to be proficient in Microsoft Office products. During each test, you will be asked to complete a variety of tasks while operating in a simulated workplace environment. Unlike traditional classroom tests that offer multiple choice and true or false questions, Microsoft Certified Specialist exams will test your knowledge and ability to use the software directly.

These exams are all "hands-on," requiring the ability to perform the test objectives in a relatively short period of time. Each test consists of 20-27 questions, with 50 minutes allowed to complete the examination. MCAS exams currently being offered are:

Microsoft Office Access 2007

Microsoft Office Excel 2007

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007

Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007

Microsoft Office Word 2007
