More information on Landon Sullivan:

Landon Sullivan (BS in Agriculture Extension, Communication, and Technology with an emphasis in Animal Science ’02) completed the MAT in 2003 (with emphasis in animal science). He is now our Agriculture Instructor and Rodeo Coach at North Arkansas College. While attending college, Landon was an equestrian performer in the Dixie Stampede Show and he competed in rodeo at the amateur, collegiate, and professional levels. After completion of the MAT, he worked horses throughout the summer and then accepted a position of Agriculture Instructor at Johnson County Westside High School, "I really enjoyed teaching high school agriculture; I just wanted to stay involved in rodeo. I had attended and completed PRCA official clinics, but judging rodeos just did not satisfy the hunger.” The next year he became an Agriculture Instructor and Rodeo Coach at Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona. While there, the Men’s rodeo Team earned the rank of number one in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association National Standings, “I really learned what it takes to have a successful rodeo program. I met a lot of people who have really helped me get where I am and they really increased my level of knowledge for doing what I do. I still visit with them regularly to make sure I am on the right track.” Landon worked at the Reproductive Physiology Unit while in school at the University of Arkansas and worked with the late Mr. Homer Featherston, as well as Mitch Fincher and Toby Lester. He returned home and began his career with us in the spring of 2005 and is dedicated to providing academically strong rodeo athletes an opportunity to gain a post secondary education. “My primary goal as the agriculture instructor and rodeo coach at North Arkansas College is to provide students with an education so they may have greater opportunity to pursue a career that will be both spiritually and financially rewarding.”
