Student Health 101 Comes to Northark!
Student Health 101 is an on-line magazine publishing important health and wellness content tailored to today’s college students. It’s presented with a unique “LiveMagazine™” technology to capture the attention of our online-savvy students. A companion copy goes to parents or significant others as well as Northark faculty and staff. It is created with the input of a 1,000-member Student Advisory Board, so the articles are sure to benefit our student readers. As well as current timely articles, you will find resources and announcements for Northark. Students love the customized videos with Northark students, spots to add your own comments, and chances to enter drawings to win great stuff, like i-Pods! Watch for your e-mail announcement and announcements on the Portal. This magazine is a service of Title III and Marketing.

Northark’s new
Jenzabar Portal is like a “digital commons”, or a student and staff center on the World Wide Web. This new portal connects students to instructors, counselors, and staff with a single point of access. You will be able to find your classes, connect to courses and schedules, and find groups that you are involved in, like Honors, PBL, Rodeo, and other clubs. With one login and password, you have 24/7 access to your campus e-mail, calendars, chat rooms or on-line exams. Without any other login, you can see your Campus Connect services. You can also customize your home page. For more information view the
Student Guide.
Northark has a new service for all students. SMARTHINKING is a web-based tutoring system that connects students to qualified e-instructors (on-line tutors) anytime, from any internet connection. This service supplements on-campus courses, distance-education courses, and the Northark Learning Assistance Center. This service is FREE to currently enrolled students. Find the link to SMARTHINKING on the Northark web page, Students' tab, or simply click the logo above. When you click on this link, instructions for starting your own account are provided. This is a service purchased by the Title III grant.
