Medical Transcription


 

The medical transcriptionist is a medical language specialist who interprets and transcribes dictation by physicians and other health care professionals. This one-year certificate program is designed to allow the student to start work as a transcriptionist in a physician's office or health care facility. 


Admissions:


In order to complete the admission process, prospective students must provide the Northark Admissions Office with the following information:
  1. An official application for admission.

  2. ACT or COMPASS test scores.  (COMPASS Test is given at Northark, for information contact the Admissions Office)

  3. Immunization records for measles and rubella; if born 1/1/1957 or after.

  4. An official copy of transfer transcript if credit is to be awarded from other institutions.  First-time entering student must submit high school transcript.
