PBL Community Service
The Rho Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda serves the community in many different ways. Some of the service projects that PBL is involved in are the Hope Tree Project and the Southern Region Disaster Fund. Phi Beta Lambda also organizes fundraisers for the March of Dimes and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Every Christmas, Phi Beta Lambda sponsors the Hope Tree project, which enables underprivileged children to receive presents on Christmas. Since 1986, the Hope Tree Project has been an annual event for the Rho Zeta Chapter. Boone and the surrounding counties, including Marion, Searcy, Newton, and Carroll, provide names for the Hope Tree Project. PBL members then contact individuals and local businesses to secure donations for the children. Last year, the Rho Zeta Chapter helped approximately 700 children have a merrier Christmas.
Phi Beta Lambda also contributes time and donations to the March of Dimes and to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Currently members of PBL are offering souvenir cutouts that people donate $1 to the Arkansas Children's Hospital. For their donation a person can write their name, their children's names, or a message of hope on a basketball, pumpkin, snowman, football, or an Angel Flight helicopter.
Below are some examples of the the items you can sponsor for a mere $1 donation to the Arkansas Children's Hospital.
