Strategic Planning at North Arkansas College
In September 2011, North Arkansas College began the process for developing a long-term strategic plan that establishes goals and strategies to continue our mission of high quality, affordable, and convenient opportunities for learning and cultural enrichment in response to community needs. The overall strategic plan will look at stakeholder needs and expectations along with institutional and environmental factors that impact the College and Northark’s strengths and opportunities. The strategic planning process will focus on the College’s core values, mission, vision and institutional distinctiveness. The plan is being developed by various stakeholders including Northark staff, faculty, students, alumni, parents, educational partners, and representatives from the community and service area.
A
Strategic Planning Council and an
Executive Council have been established. The Strategic Planning Council will guide gathering and determining stakeholder needs and expectations, College strengths and opportunities, institutional distinctiveness, and social, political, technological, and economic factors. The Executive Council will use the Strategic Planning Council analysis to formulate core values, vision, planning assumptions, driving forces, strategic goals, objectives, performance measures, and strategies.
